Lady Isabella’s Scandalous Marriage by Jennifer Ashley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This is a re-read. The first read, I didn’t read Book 1, so some parts didn’t make sense. Now they do.
I will be honest and say that I’m glad to see Fellowes in the book. He was the unknown brother from Ian’s story.
Isabella and Mac are also from the first book, who are separated married couple. Mac is a painter, and he’s being impersonated. Isabella is the one who recognized that the painting that claimed to be done by Mac was in fact not done by him. A wife would recognize that, even an estranged one.
It led to mysteries and another attempted murder, but it was a good book, with some sadness, when they recall the miscarriage of their little boy, their first child.
