The Duke’s Perfect Wife by Jennifer Ashley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This turned out much better than I was expecting.
Hart was being portrayed as a bastard with strange sexual desires.
No, he was just into the minor leagues of BDSM. Not enough for slave and master, but it was about control.
He didn’t have any growing up, and it became almost OCD to him. He had to have control, or he felt out of control. I’m sure all of us have felt like that, one way or another, at some point in their lives.
When he’s nearly killed in an explosion, he realizes the world will still go around, even without him there to direct it’s every motion.
There’s great character growth and dimension in the books. It’s nice!
