So far this is my favorite of my recently purchased books. I love Linnet and Piers – the barbs, the intelligence, and how they grow to care about each other. I love that Piers was inspired by House from the tv show and I really enjoyed how she translated him to the time period. I loved the character of Linnet and the misunderstanding that set up the entire book made me laugh. The book made me laugh and made me almost cry and I will most definitely be reading it again.
Do you like vampires?
Do you love a good, new twist on them?
How about specialized technology?
Or the lost city of Atlantis?
Well, if you said yes, this series, honestly, is the series for you. Even if you’re not a fan of romance, you’ll like this.
We have uncles who come off as hard-asses, but are teddy bears with their family.
We have the teenyboppers that everyone rolls their eyes at.
I started this right before I fell asleep last night. I woke up this morning with the story in my head. I loved it.
Lissi is a vampire who has a blood phobia. Yeah, that’s like having a phobia of food when you’re a “human”. So her mother recruits Greg, a psychologist with a gift for phobias.
Unfortunately, Greg and Lissi fall for each other, and her phobia still isn’t cured, but they now have a lifetime, which is infinitely longer than our own, to live, love, and well, get treated for the weirdest phobia I’ve ever seen with a vampire.
You got wet, I’m sad to say.
You won’t start up now.
You were so loved, and I cried when I said goodbye.
I love you, and it breaks my heart that I have to replace you. Kindle DX, you will always be my first ebook reader, forever on my mind.
I’m not happy that I have to replace you with the Kindle Fire, but I have to.
I’d rather have you still working though.
Okay, it’s not that I’m not reading. I swear that I am. The problem is that I’m reading the wrong books, 😆 I am reading the Long Tall Texans series. Actually, that’s not entirely true. I’m reading the Soldiers of Fortune series, 😀 Diana Palmer really sucks me in fast, and quick. I cannot help that.
I promise that I have Dark Lover on tap to be read. It’s sitting on the Kindle (my paperback version, sadly, is falling apart. Pages are quite literally falling out of it. I got a new version of it to replace it for my friend who’d loaned it to me, :D.
So, eventually, I’ll get to the review. No, I won’t be reviewing a Diana Palmer anytime soon. Simply because, as I’ve found, once I start, I’ll never finish 😀
